Laptop Water Damage

Many people use their laptops on a daily basis.  The range of users extends from office workers to stay at home parents to students to anyone else that values the easy handling of a laptop.  A mom with hectic days can move from one room to the next, while students can use them at school and transport them from class to class or even the cafeteria and library.  Regardless of where you need to end up they can make the trip with you and as wireless Internet hotspots are becoming more common the increased use of laptop will become more wide spread.

Hardwood Floor Water Damage and Repair

Hardwood floors are a great way to add elegance and beauty to any home. Today, advances in technology have made them so that they can be easily installed by the average person with simple tools. The only disadvantage of this type of flooring is the potential for damage to occur if you are not careful.

Water damage is the fastest and easiest way to harm your hardwood floor. Water damage usually occurs when someone mops the floor with water or using too much of a liquid floor cleaner.  Accidents, spills, leaks and floods are other culprits.

The wood can be easily damaged by water or rot. Flooring is stained and sealed to provide some protection against water. To avoid damage, be sure not to use wood floors in areas that are prone to be wet, as entrances or bathrooms. Also, clean the floor with a product that is wax-based, not water based. The application of wax, not only helps to avoid water damage, it also helps slow the deterioration process.
